Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17). That verse is the heartbeat of The 917 Society’s newest initiative, God and Country — a program built on a simple conviction: faith and freedom were never meant to be separated.
As America continues to celebrate our 250th Anniversary, our nation needs the church engaged, informed, and equipped. An estimated 32 million born-again Christians did not vote in the last presidential election. If the church stays home, the values we hold dear lose their voice. God and Country exists to change that.
WHAT YOUR CHURCH RECEIVES
When a church signs up for God and Country, it receives absolutely free a complete package of civic and spiritual resources:
• A free pocket Constitution for every church member. The same Constitution that has guided our nation since 1787, placed in the hands of every person in your congregation.
• An exact replica of the First American Bible. In 1782, Robert Aitken printed the first English-language Bible in America — the only Bible ever approved by Congress. Each participating church receives a beautiful replica of this historic treasure, a reminder that America’s founders saw Scripture as essential to the nation they built.
• Voter education resources. Nonpartisan materials that encourage believers to register, pray, and vote their values. We do not tell anyone how to vote. We simply ask every Christian to show up and stand on biblical conviction and a County Ambassador assigned to help with Voter engagement.
